Inkscape About Splash Installment One

As you may have guessed by now, I have become a bit of an Inkscape zealot.

Many of you may know that the version 0.46 is rapidly approaching, and they are seeking submissions from the crowd for their about splash. I figured that I should at least give it two kicks at the can, as best as my hackish abilities allow. The following is the first installment for the contest.

It is largely a reworking of the chrome technique I spent developing for the Mythbuntu project. As with the requirements, it makes use of the SVG filters (blur) and uses linked offsets. It is a little constructivist inspired with a heavy does of negative space and a splash of asymmetry.

Next up, probably a dive into the psychedelic 60s or something else radically different stylistically...

The source SVG can be found here.

The link to the SVG appears to be broken.
